The Alexandria Small Business Development Center is part of a statewide network funded in part by the U.S. Small Business Administration. The SBDC provides assistance to experienced and inexperienced business people. Our counseling services include the following topics:
  • Business planning. Assistance for the entrepreneur in identifying and evaluating the most important factors related to his or her enterprise.
  • Business information. Access to variety of economic and business databases and publications.
  • Management skills. Guidance and counseling to help business become more effective and efficient by improving management skills operational effectiveness.
  • Workshops. Information on workshops throughout the area on many topics related to starting and operating a business in Virginia.
  • Networking assistance. Help in identifying sources of information and services for small business.
