Belmont Inc.

Belmont, Inc. is an organizational branding studio that helps align all aspects of an organization with its brand promise.

When we were first starting out, we were great at the work we performed for our clients, but knew very little about other business issues. Throughout the years, the SBDC has connected us with the resources we’ve needed to be successful. Here are just a few examples.

In 2001, the SBDC counseled us on how to get a line of credit, which allowed us to hire our first employee. A couple years later, they helped us continue to expand by securing a loan to buy equipment. Taking the financial savvy we have gained from the SBDC, we have since applied for and received additional financing, and have shared our new-found expertise with other business owners.

In 2004, when we were given 48 hours to respond to our first government contract opportunity, the SBDC guided us through intricacies of the federal procurement process, which helped us win the award. This one contract has been worth several millions of dollars over the past five years, and has been a springboard to winning other significant contracts.

Belmont believes in buying local, selecting Alexandria vendors whenever possible, thereby generating even more tax revenue to the City.

Whenever possible, we bring clients to our site, take them to lunch in the neighborhood, and refer them to local partners.
